‘Intuition’ is what I were following with this painting, it started very slowly with some fledgling brushstrokes and went through a middle phase of discovery where I experiment with colours and tonal values then my ‘expressive vision’ took control guiding me and pushing me through to the final compositional destination.
Although my chosen vibrant colours contribute to my emotional responses with non representational work I still feel an organic passion for the landscape, searching for an earthy, textured energy containing movement and luminance.
Most of my work is landscape inspired but not always with blue sky, green grass and a horizon.
